Where does the Thames finish and Swindon start?! 

The picture says it all! It's still high tide in Lechlade!

 

You've got to laugh at this picture from the Riverside Park in Lechlade, haven't you?

 

Overflow is exactly the word for the Thames flood water that has spilled the banks and into the fields on the Gloucestershire & Swindon, Wiltshire border near Halfpenny bridge.

 

With more rain forecast tonight we think it might be a while before cars will be parking here any time soon!

This is the incredible scene today from Halfpenny Bridge in Lechade as the torrential rain of the last few days continues to swell the River Thames.

 

The fields surrounding the Swindon side of the river have all flooded, with the waterline so high the bridge itself is impassable to boats.

 

The Riverside pub is still open, though - just! Perhaps the people who own the solitary narrowboat below are stuck in there?
