Swindon College on Fire 

Students evacuated after blaze started in plumbing workshops

 

The Swindon Fire Brigade are still on the scene this evening after a serious fire took hold at Swindon College.

 

All students and staff were evacuated from the entire site after a blaze started in the plumbing & gas workshops adjacent to the main North Star building late this afternoon.

 

According to reports, four students were treated at the scene - and later at GWH - for smoke inhalation.

 

The college confirmed they will be open as normal tomorrow.
