FREE Orienteering On Offer

Two wheel fun for all the family this Easter in Swindon

101 Things To Do Swindon
Fun-loving families looking for something different to do this Easter are being invited to try orienteering in and around Swindon.

Sustrans and Swindon Travel Choices are providing FREE orienteering activity packs from local leisure centres and Central library throughout this week.

Monday 14 April to Monday 21 April 2014

Orienteering involves finding a series of markers attached to lamp posts, railings or sign posts, using a map with the locations marked, and a set of clues.

Three rounds to choose from

There are three orienteering ‘rounds’ in Swindon – one in the west, north, and south-east. Each ‘round’ is a 7-mile loop on traffic-free walking and cycling routes.

Orienteering Swindon

Orienteering packs, with all the information needed, are available free of charge from Swindon Central Library and any of the following leisure centres receptions, between Monday 14th April to Monday 21st April:

- Link Centre
- Delta Tennis Centre
- Haydon Centre
- Croft Sports Centre
- Dorcan Recreation Complex

Alternatively, the maps and clues can be downloaded for free any time from Swindon Travel Choices’ website: www.swindontravelchoices.co.uk

Those who find all the markers on their ‘round’ can return their forms to Sustrans to receive a reward.

For more information email swindon@sustrans.org.uk or call 01793 600720.
