Fencing Fun and Games!

Kids get the chance to cross swords in Swindon town centre

Fencing Demonstration Day
Wharf Green, Swindon
Thursday 31 July 2014

It was swashbuckling fun in Wharf Green this week as part of activities celebrating the Commonwealth Games.

On Thursday it was Fencing's turn to show off what an exciting sport it is with a demonstration and instruction day held in conjunction with the Swindon Fencing Club.

Children got the chance to have a go themselves with training swords, while more experienced fencers provided lunchtime entertainment for shoppers and passersby, all while the Commonwealth Games was beamed on the Big Screen.
