If You Like Cider, You'll Love This!

Lydiard House uses apples from its ancient Walled Garden to create first ever brew - WATCH VIDEO

This year’s crop of heritage apples grown from the Georgian Walled Garden at Lydiard Park have been used for the first time ever to create a unique cider product just in time for Christmas.

Available from today at Lydiard House and STEAM Museum, a special limited edition run of 300 bottles of Lydiard Park cider has been produced through Swindon-based craft cider specialists Circle Cider and will retail at £4 per 500ml bottle with an ABV of 6%.

A unique blend of over 30 apple varieties

Mr Love’s Heritage Cider (named after the Head Gardener at Lydiard Park at the turn of the 20th Century) is made from a unique blend of over 30 apple varieties dating back to 1743 or earlier.

Ian Surtees, Income Generation Manager said: “It’s a great tasting medium cider and a perfect Christmas present and we’re thrilled to be working with local cider specialists Circle Cider on the first ever cider to be made from Lydiard Park apples.”
