Yo! Heave. Ho! 

Oar-inspiring! Dragon Boat Racing teams do battle at Coate Water

 

It was a perfect day for boating on Sunday, as nineteen teams went toe to toe (or rather oar to oar!) in the annual Dragon Boat Race at Coate Water.

 

Now in its third year, the event was once again organised by the Swindon Rotary Club Phoenix and featured teams from the likes of Zurich, Priory College Swindon and Nationwide.

 

The closest race of the day turned out to be a fantastic battle between The Silverbacks and the Corsair Pirates (raising funds for Help 4 Heroes and Cancer Research UK respectively) - with The Silverbacks ultimately coming out on top by a nose!
