Jazz Realises Rio Dream
Swindon swimmer on her way to the Olympics after British Champs success
Swindon will be cheering on swimmer Jazz Carlin this summer after the 25-year-old finally sealed a place in the British Olympic team.
The Commonwealth champion won the British 400 metre freestyle title in Glasgow at the weekend - just three tenths of a second inside the qualifying time required.
Earlier in the week, Jazz had also won the 200 metre freestyle, but not in a quick enough time to qualify. So after a nervous wait, and one last chance to make the team officially, the former Swindon Dolphin triumphed in what she described as "probably the most important race of my life."

Jazz, who agonisingly missed out on London 2012 with glandular fever and considered quitting the sport, added:
"It's a massive relief! It's been a hugely emotional time for everyone, especially my family, knowing I had to perform to make the team.
"Now I can just look forward to it. I couldn't be more happy at this moment!"
Carlin, who won the Commonwealth 800 metres freestyle gold in 2014, now hopes to add to her medal haul when the Olympics start in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil this August.
