Well, it's always on a Sunday for a start! And that means the best day for enjoying a hearty roast with all the trimmings surrounded by family & friends... safe in the knowledge you've got bank holiday Monday to look forward to!

That means you can really make the most of the day and especially the evening.

With that in mind, we've put together a short guide on the best places in Swindon where you can eat, drink, enjoy live music, watch the footy & keep the kids entertained and generally just while away the day without feeling guilty about getting up on Monday.

20 At The Kings
Old Town

Easter Sunday here is really an all-day event. Head chef Darren Turner's Sunday lunch is renowned for being the best in Old Town, and you can enjoy it from 12noon - 3pm.
 
Premiership football is then available on the big screen plus there's live music from 8pm with Josie and the Outlaw!

The Plough

No Sunday Lunch here in the traditional sense but there is Easter Sunday afternoon jazz with the great Mrs Peel's Trio from 3.00-5.30pm.

Sunday Lunch served right through to early evening followed by The Harrow's tradition of making the most of Easter Sunday with some lively live music kicking off at 8pm. This year with Paradox.

The Royal Oak at Bishopstone

If you'd like to go a little further east out of Swindon then The Royal Oak at Bishopstone is serving their award-winning Sunday lunch from 12noon - 8pm on Easter Sunday.
 
An Easter Egg hunt gets everything underway nicely from 10.30am.

The Sun Inn

Easter Sunday Lunch Swindon
With Sunday lunch served until at least 3.30pm (if there's any roast beef left by then!), rest assured The Sun Inn at Coate have Easter Sunday well and truly covered.

Sunday Lunch: served from 12noon - 3.30pm, main menu then until 9pm
Live Music: from 8.30pm


Fratello's
Swindon town centre

Fratellos full menu is served here right up until 11pm, which is great if you've other things to do on Easter Sunday.
 
If you can get in earlier they are serving their fantastic  '2 For £14' deal from 12noon - 6pm.

Woodlands Edge 
West Swindon

Another pub all geared up for hungry families on Easter Sunday, with food served all-day from 11am - 10pm! 
 
If you're a footy fan then you'll be able to squeeze in a spot of footy in between live on SKY Sports throughout the day.

If your family like a carvery then this pub is well worth the trip.
 
The Sunday carvery will also be available from 12.00pm right through until 5.00pm on Sunday 5th April although early booking is advised.
