Football Pubs
Not going to Wembley? Here are the best places to grab a pint and enjoy the big game on Sunday
For the sixth time in our club's proud history, Swindon Town are off to Wembley - this time for the League One Play-Off Final.
So unless you're one of the 30,000 or so heading off to London to watch them take on Preston live, then it's either your own sofa and TV or a big screen with
SKY Sports and a pint to cheer on the Robins.
Pub wise, we reckon a proper Sunday lunch followed by kick-off at 5.30pm sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon - as long as Town win!
Here's where we'd be if we're not at Wembley.
West Swindon
Woodlands Edge
Sparcells, West Swindon Newly refurbished, the football fan is well and truly catered for at this Hungry Horse pub in West Swindon, with television screens - including a brand new 3 metre supersize screen - not only broadcasting all the live action on Sky Sports (that's 116 games) but BT Sport as well.
Food wise you can expect a wide variety to choose from and if you get there early enough you can bag one of their tables that seat six with in-built screens showing all the action.
Almost better than a corporate box!
Swindon Town Centre
Rudis Bar & Kitchen
Regents Circus, Swindon
Always a fans' favourite for good food, Rudis will no doubt be rammed when Swindon are on the box, so we advise getting there early - just so you can get a round in before kick-off.
