In the Town Centre
Festival Of Light Parade
Thursday 06 December 2012
Working with schools from all over Swindon, this will be the first Festival of Light Parade.
The Parade is scheduled to start at Swindon Town Hall in Regent Circus at 6.00pm. The procession will lead down Regent Street, along Canal Walk into Wharf Green where the Salvation Army will be waiting to the lead the children in some favourite Christmas Carols.
Bring the children along to join in the singing!
Time: 6 - 7.30pm
Down on the farm
Roves Farm
We all know baby Jesus was born in a manger, so how better to celebrate the Christmas period than getting up-close and personal with some of the farm animals present at his birth (not the actual ones, obviously)...
There will also be a Elves' Workshop which is open all day for children's Christmas crafts. Why not make sparkling Christmas cards, lanterns and tree decorations to take home.

Step back in time
Christmas at STEAM
Over 40 market stalls will be placed around the Museum, selling luxury goods and traditional crafts from all over the region. Designer jewellery, pottery, paintings, games and toys, organic soaps, handmade chocolates and chutneys will be amongst the hundreds of goods on offer.
Time: 10.00am - 5.00pm
Victorian Christmas
Saturday 01 - Sunday 20 December
Throughout December, Lydiard will be hosting a whole range of Christmas activities including performances from Swindon Ladies Co-operative Choir and craft workshops, where you can learn how to make beautiful Christmas tree decorations and a star lantern.
A spot of sport!
Now this is something the whole family can enjoy - Archery!
They're open 7 days a week and will be open between December 27 and New Year for tuition and experienced days.

At the Outlet
On Saturday 17 November their Christmas lights will be switched-on, and the fun continues to build from then on!
Meet Santa and his Reindeer!
Saturday 24 Nov & Saturday 01 Dec 2012
Join the Designer Outlet on 24 November and 01 December when Santa's Reindeer will be paying them a visit between 2 - 4 pm outside Gap. This will be a chance for the little ones to see them first hand before they head off to get ready for the big night.
On 01 December the Outlet will have added festive cheer with Victorian themed carol singers rejoicing in the malls, from 11 am - 5 pm.

Wyvern Theatre

For 2012 TV legend Keith Chegwin returns this Christmas, in another hilarious and spectacular pantomime at the Wyvern. Aladdin is a wish come true - packed with all the traditional Wyvern Theatre panto ingredients of side - splitting comedy, stunning sets, beautiful costumes and a fantastic cast.

Bring the children to ride on a train and meet Santa in his grotto. Trains run approximately every 20 minutes.

Take your cheeky monkeys somewhere they can really run wild!
Open all year round with fun activities to do and lots of animals see - just make sure you wrap up warm!
Catch the animals at feeding time, jump around in the play area or take a train ride!
Santa's Grotto
15-24 December, 2012
This December Santa will be in his Grotto in Cotswold Wildlife Parks newly refurbished Gift Shop from 15 - 24 of December.
Keep an eye out for our very own
real Reindeer (on loan from Father Christmas of course) talking walks around the Park with their Keeper throughout December.
Opening Times: 11am-3pm.
Bowl 'em over!
Bowl them away this Christmas, with a fun-filled family game - available day and night!
At the movies!
Maybe hold back on the ice cream though - unless they're feeling brave, brrrr!
Take in the Tropics!
They've got hundreds of butterflies flying about plus loads more to see including outdoor animal paddock with ducks, geese, rabbits and goats. The next door craft village is also a great place to explore and pick up a few presents.
Pop in and Paint
So why not go down for an afternoon with friends, or even save on the last-minute Christmas shopping and give a more personal gift this year.
