After the joy of FA Cup success, Town crashed back down to earth and out of the JPT Trophy after David Ball and Michael Timlin missed in a penalty shoot-out.

 

Despite controlling large parts of the game, Swindon failed to add to Charlie Austin's first-half opener - and conceded the equaliser just before the break.

 

"It shouldn't have come to penalties. We had the chances in normal time and should have taken them," commented a frustrated Danny Wilson.
