New manager wanted

Swindon Town are looking for a new manager.

Said his goodbyes:
Paul Sturrock, who was in charge at the
County Ground for just over a year

As expected, Paul Sturrock resigned today to take up the manager's position at Plymouth Argyle.

It is understood club captain Ady Williams and Youth Team coach Dave Bryne have been put in temporary charge of team affairs.

A press conference has been arranged for Tuesday morning.

YOUR VIEWS:
"Town will cope without him if they can get someone in quickly. The club needs some stability, and with events going on off the pitch I'm not surprised he's gone. The question is, who's going to follow him?"

"Nothing surprises me about Swindon town. The hole clubs a mess. Best of luck to him. I couldn't work for that board knowing there's a better job on the table. Plymouth are 5th in the Championship and we're cashed strapped and under a transfer embargo. It was a no brainer."

"Well they've done it again haven't they!!!! He wasn't my first choice when he took over but he's proved that he was getting the job done. God only knows what's going on behind the scenes. If it's as bad as everyone think it is I don't blame him, especially if it was for more money. We must be the laughing stock of the football league. And I for one, won't be bothering to go on Saturday."
Trudy M - 26/11/2007 16:34:00
"It's disgrace. An absolute disgrace. Paul Sturrock was the man we all believed was taking the club forward. He got us promotion and we're doing alright in league one. Now this. And why? Beacsue of the continued cock-ups on the financial side. Is just me, or do thing always go wroung when Bob Holt turns up?"
