The County Ground's gates were opened today for the annual STFC Community Open Day, with fans getting the chance to meet all their favourite players and even play manager for the day.

In a specially arranged game, featuring 22 trialists from around the world, supporters got the unique opportunity to pick their favourite player via a text vote.

The winner getting the chance to train with the senior squad - and possibly even earn a contract for the forthcoming season.

The day also featured a number of local sporting clubs and groups all showing what they have to offer.

The Swindon Robins Speedway Team amongst them, who brought one of their bikes for some of the younger fans to get a taste of life in the fast lane.
