Wembley Winners Reunited
Town legends get their hands on the Cup once again
It happened all of thirty eight years ago - but for those who scored the goals it could easily have been yesterday.
At the County Ground today Swindon Town legends Don Rogers and Roger Smart told us all about the day they beat the mighty Arsenal to win the League Cup on 15 March 1969.
We won this once!:

A trophy the two Wembley scorers were reunited with for the first time since that historic afternoon in 1969 that Town fans - young and old - always remember.
"It's great to see it again," Roger told us, clutching the Cup, "it was certainly my greatest achievement lifting it after we won, so it brings back a lot of memories for me."
"I can't believe it's that long ago, to be honest. It's remarkable how time flies!"
Dual celebration
The Cup was back at the County Ground courtesy of current holders Chelsea, who kindly lent the trophy to STFC for the day so the Robins could commemorate their biggest winning moment - and also celebrate together with Swindon Speedway, who start their new Elite League season on 15 March as well.

"Let's hope I don't drop it," admitted two-goal hero Rogers, "but I'm used to looking after it OK.
"I slept with it under my bed once - but that's another story!"
