Swindon failed to make the most of their early possession before Billy Kee's diving header and Mattia Lanzano gifted the home side their second.

 

The Robins' goalkeeper crucially lost the ball on the edge of his box just after the break and could only dive helplessly as Jacques Maghoma slotted home to double Burton's lead.

 

"We had chances but didn't take them," commented a disappointed Paolo Di Canio.
