Swindon rode their luck before Matt Ritchie produced a moment of magic to send the Robins into the play-off places.

 

After an even and uneventful first-half, things looked worrying for Town as Gillingham started to take a gradual hold on midfield.

 

And when Luke Rooney hit the post for the visitors with Foderingham well beaten most Town fans would have taken a point.

 

But Ritchie turned the game on its head with an unstoppable 30-yard effort with just ten minutes remaining - a strike that is already being talked about as the goal of the season.

 

After joyous celebrations in front of the Town End and Oliver Risser brought on for Jake Jervis, the icing on the cake arrived in injury time when Jonathan Smith fired in superbly from the edge of the box.

 

Swindon's third league victory in a row lifts them to seventh, just behind local rivals Oxford and Cheltenham in the all-important play-off zone.
