In true Italian style, Paolo Di Canio paid tribute to his mother as Town climbed to 2nd with an away victory to cap most in recent years.

 

Three first-half goals and a decisive fourth from Billy Bodin shocked a Southend side challenging Town for a promotion place.

 

"It's an amazing night for us," a delighted Di Canio commented, "just amazing. And for my mother I dedicate this. She deserves this after I dedicated the Wigan victory to my papa. This is for her."
