Swindon won the League Two Championship in typical Italian style with a 5-0 win.

 

Matt Ritchie - who else - was the man who started the rought with a superb left-footed effort to give Town the lead just before the break.

 

And by the time Paul Benson grabbed a double, followed by goals from Aden Flint and Alan Connell, the promotion party had well and truly started.

 

At the final whistle, a well-behaved pitch invasion took place where Town fans celebrated with the players before the official trophy presentation.

 

"My mum and dad have inspired me to this victory and this day," Di Canio commented, wearing a T-shirt in tribute to his parents, who both died during the season.

 

"Let me and the players and everyone at this fantastic club enjoy this great moment," the manager added after politely refusing to answer any questions on his future.
