What must Paul Caddis be thinking after Town stunned Championship Brighton in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

 

Stripped of the captaincy just a day before the start of the season by Paolo Di Canio, many were thinking the disruption might effect Town's performance.

 

But after a first-half of Brighton domination, the Town boss will feel completely justified in making such a radical team change with a second-half performance full of promise.

 

Two unlikely strikes from debutant Alan Navarro after the opener from Paul Benson in a well-worked free-kick proved the difference, as Swindon swept Brighton aside to go into the second-half draw. 

 

"We were passionate and I'm very happy. We did well,," said a delighted Di Canio.

 

"But we have to keep our feet on the ground."
