It's early days.... but unbeaten Swindon are up to third after a perfectly timed first-half goal from Matt Ritchie.

 

Town's in-form midfielder found the back of the net only minutes after the visitors were reduced to ten men following an incident between Dean Lewington and Simon Ferry.

 

The MK Dons' defender was harshly red-carded for what looked like a flaying arm on 39 minutes.

 

And after Ritchie's strike just afterwards (with a hint of a touch by James Collins) gave Town the lead on the stroke of half-time, Di Canio's unchanged side from Tuesday night were always in control.

 

Next stop Stoke in the second round of the League Cup on Tuesday night.
