Town's Carling Cup run is over after an agonising last-minute winner.
 
Aston Villa secured a place in the quarter-finals when Christian Benteke clinically fired past Wes Foderingham after Swindon had dramatically come back from 2-0 down.
 
A late brace inside three minutes from substitute Miles Storey - the second a cheeky back-heel in front on the Town End - just desserts for a hard-working second-half performance that looked like taking the tie into extra-time.
 
But it was Villa, with the last break of the game that snatched it.
 
"I am proud we came back," commented Di Canio. "I said at half-time 'make me proud', and they have."
