Simon Ferry scored the quickest goal of the day as Town climbed back up to 6th.

In the perfect possible start, Swindon were one-up inside 57 seconds when the midfielder crashed the ball into the roof of the net after being set up by Gary Roberts.

And in a game Town then dominated, Walsall had no answer for Swindon's neat passing and resolute back four, with Nathan Thompson particularly outstanding.

The points were effectively sealed when Matt Ritchie made it two-nil just after the hour.

"We were the better team in every way," Di Canio commented.
