Di Canio was surprisingly a happy man despite more dropped points at home.
 
The Town manager praised his players after watching them waste the lion share of possession and chances.
 
"We dominated this game today," he said, "but Doncaster frustrated us and a point is all we have.
 
"We must accept this and look ahead. Victories will come if we continue to apply ourselves like this."
 
Fast start
 
Matt Ritchie opened the scoring after only eight minutes with a typically impressive individual effort that left the Doncaster goalkeeper with no chance.
 
But within two minutes the scores were level when Danny Hollands put through his own net.
 
And despite territorial advantage and continued pressure, especially in the second-half, Swindon couldn't a way past their promotion rivals, who defended in large numbers.
