Meet The Board

New owners of STFC look to the future... and the Championship

The new owners of Swindon Town Football Club held their first official press conference today.

Jed McCrory along with Directors Gary Hooper, Steve Murrall and Callum Rice spoke to the press at the County Ground about their future plans and Championship ambitions.
Jed McCrory reassured Town fans that he would "turn the club round and take it forward", adding that he was passionate about reaching promotion but that it would take one step at a time.

Callum Rice went on to explain that he would be "exploring new revenue streams" for the club, and Gary Hooper said he welcomed the challenge of moving the club forward.

However, Jed McCrory made it clear that at the present time they have not spoken to anyone about the club's managerial position, but that they also can't rule out the return of Paolo Di Canio.
Press Conference Highlights

Jed McCrory (Chairman) Full Interview

McCrory made his name in the building trades and entertainment before moving into the media, marketing and sports.
He has invested his own money into Banbury United and is the director of 13 companies.

Callum Rice (Director) Full Interview

Having started off in a band as a teenager, Rice went on to work for Pontins and then as a cruise director for several years before falling into the music industry. He now manages several artists and owns The Angel Hotel in Bourne, Lincolnshire. A Leeds fan, he played for Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire against Wiltshire at the County Ground in his youth.

Gary Hooper (Commercial Director) Full Interview

Gary is a former professional footballer who played for Luton before moving on to represent Gillingham and Cambridge United.
He moved to Australia where he was the publicity manager for the Western Australia government. Since 1992 he has held commercial roles at five Football League clubs.

Interviews by Peter Mannion.
