Nile Ranger grabbed his first in a Town shirt as Swindon recorded a famous win at Loftus Road.

 

Harry Redknapp could only look on in amazement as the new Swindon striker right-footed the opener just before half-time.

 

And despite an onslaught from the Championship favourites - including a disallowed effort from former Swindon old boy Charlie Austen & a big penalty appeal from Shaun Wright-Phillips - the Robins sealed the deal in the last minute.

 

Alex Pritchard this time the right man in the right place, as his trickling shot found the inside of the post past former England goalkeeper Rob Green to send Town fans wild in celebration.

 

"We definitely deserved it," commented under-pressure Town boss Mark Cooper, "and I'm enormously proud of the players tonight.

 

"We survived the pressure in the second-half and this will give us all a lot of confidence going in into Saturday."
