Nathan Thompson is suspended and Nile Ranger is a major injury doubt for Monday's FLT Semi-Final on Monday after a game to forget at the County Ground.

 

Persistent rain made playing conditions atrocious as both teams fought out a drab goalless draw in front of a brave Valentine's Day crowd of just 6,683.

 

But it was the worrying injury to Nile Ranger, who limped off with a suspected hamstring strain just a minute into the second-half, that grabbed most attention and the controversial booking of Nathan Thompson.

 

 

His 70th minute yellow card was described by Mark Cooper as 'ridiculous' as the ref judged the player to be 'acting agressively' in his no-loved-lost clash with Colchester's Sanchez Watt - who was sent-off.

 

The booking means Thompson is now out of the game against Peterborough.
