Walsall 1 Swindon 4
SkyBet League One
RESULT: Walsall 1 Swindon Town 4
Swindon scorers: Smith 3, Luongo 46, Williams 51, 57
Walsall scorer: Bradshaw 18
It started in bright sunshine and ended in a snow storm - but 1,200 freezing Town fans didn't care.
Swindon's second-half demolition of promotion-chasing Walsall means the Robins are right in the thick of it at the top of League One as the season enters 2015.
And if Andy Williams and Michael Smith can keep scoring - and Massimo Luongo & Yaser Kasim don't pick up a knock on international duty in the coming weeks - it may just be Championship football to cheer next Christmas.
Quick goals
All the action came in a five minute Town burst after the break, with the sides level following Smith's dramatic early opener.
Luongo first, with a low, near-post shot, followed by Williams' second with a beautiful chip over the advancing goalkeeper.
And, just as the snowfall meant a full rush for the Bovril, Williams completed the rout with another neat finish.
"Willo [Williams] is in good spirits, he’s full of beans," described a very happy Town manager, Mark Cooper.
"All three (strikers) are contributing at the moment."
