RESULT: Swindon Town 1 Port Vale 0
Swindon scorer: Williams 56
Andy Williams grabbed his third goal over Christmas to send Town back up to second in League One.
After a brace at Walsall on Boxing Day, the in-form striker was again the right man in the right place to head home and break the deadlock just before the hour mark.
His 15th of the season proving the decisive moment of the match, as the only goal of the game sealed the points Town needed to keep the pressure on Bristol City on top.
"We’re halfway," commented a delighted but clearly cautious Mark Cooper at the final whistle.
"There are 23 games to go and an awful lot of football to be played. We’ve got to keep going and keep performing."
