Town failed to register for a third consecutive game today as they drew 0-0 with high-flying Gillingham.

 

Despite the lack of goals it was a far more resolute display from the visitors, with Town keeper Lawrence Vigouroux in particularly impressive form.

 

Chances were largely at a premium for both sides, with arguably the best chance of the game falling to The Gills early on - a slip from Swindon's Jordan Turnbulll allowing Donnelly through on goal - only to see his tidy effort ping off the outside of the woodwork.

 

Moments later the Town keeper was called into action, producing a fine one handed save from Josh Wright's long range piledriver.

 

A few speculative efforts came and went for the Wiltshire visitors, but in truth the Gillingham keeper was never really tested. 

 

Luke Williams commented after the match "All things considered, it’s a great point. There has been a question mark over whether the players can get anything out of these games and that was a good answer from this group. I would say it’s impossible to come to Gillingham without having some moments where you have to ride your luck. We created one or two chances ourselves but a point is about right."
