Rochdale 2 Swindon 2SkyBet League One
RESULT: Rochdale 2 Swindon Town 2
Rochdale scorers:
Allen (45+2), (67)
Swindon scorers: Obika (2), Thompson (45+1)
Although the second half of the season has been largely forgettable for Town supporters, it was a day to remember for young Will Henry on Saturday - making his Swindon Town debut at just 17-years-old.
Henry, in for the injured Lawrence Vigouroux, looked assured for the most part, and when Jon Obika slotted home after just 2 minutes - the young shot-stopper must have been pinching himself!
And yet 15-minutes in, it got even better for the youngster - producing a superb one-handed save to deny Rochdale striker Ian Henderson from the spot.
Thompson put the Robins two goals to the good just before half-time, only to see Rochdale hit back seconds later through Jamie Allen's well placed strike.
A few needless bookings saw Town drop to 10 (and later 9!) men before Rochdale levelled things up midway through the second-half - Matty Lund's diving header somehow finding its way past the despairing keeper.
Luke Williams was delighted for Town's 17-year-old debutant "What a fantastic start it's just incredible really. It wasn’t like he just made a fantastic save from a penalty but he made save after save. It was what you'd expect from an experienced goalkeeper."
