If there's one thing you certainly can't label Swindon Town as being this season - it's predictable.

 

After failing to register a win for nearly a month, Town supporters must have been fearing the worst as the Rochdale team (on the back of six straight league victories) pulled into the County Ground carpark.

 

But first half goals from Darnell Furlong and Nathan Delfouneso soon calmed Town nerves, before Nathan Thompson completed the rout with a long range strike with 10 minutes remaining on the clock.

 

Town coach Luke Williams was delighted with what he saw "Rochdale are a very, very good team and you could see that they were a good team. I don’t think they played below par, our players were just very, very good and made it difficult for them.

 

“I’m very proud of the players and I’m very pleased for them because they deserved that.”
