Swindon Town's brief stint in the Checkatrade Trophy came to a close this evening as they fell to a 3-2 loss at home to Luton.

 

Despite a fixture-free weekend, coach Luke Williams rung the changes against the Hatters - with subsitute keeper Will Henry stepping in for Lawrence Vigouroux in goal, and no recognised central defender in the squad, let alone the starting 11.

 

And the inexperienced back line was soon made to pay, with Josh McQuoid tormenting the Town rear guard with a quick-fire double.

 

Substitute Ellis Iandolo levelled for Town with a 25-yard strike but Luton winger Isaac Vassell was to have the final say - sealing the victory with a low drive past Henry.
