Bristol Rovers 1 Swindon 0League One
RESULT: Bristol Rovers 1 Swindon Town 0
Bristol Rovers scorer: Bodin (29)
Swindon Town slipped deeper into the quagmire this afternoon as former Robin, Billy Bodin struck at a chilly Memorial Stadium.
It was a somewhat understated West Country derby, with neither side looking particularly hungry for the 3 points.
It was always going to be a silly mistake or a moment of magic to break the deadlock, and it turned out to be the latter - Bodin striking the sweetest of half-volleys which cannoned in off the inside of the post.
Town coach Luke Williams took heart from a brighter second-half performance "The opposition were better than us on the day, certainly in the first-half, but we probably created the best chances in the second-half and we didn’t take them and if you don’t take your chances you can’t expect to win a game of football."
