Club officially announce Williams departure

Swindon Town can confirm that Luke Williams has left his position as Head Coach of the Football Club with immediate effect.

  
Following our relegation to the Sky Bet League Two, reviews have taken place and, as a result, the football club and Luke Williams have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.

  
We would like to wish Luke the very best of luck for the future.

  
The club would also like to confirm that the search for a new candidate to take the club forward is well underway and we will issue a further update in due course.

 

BREAKING: Head coach to leave Swindon Town

After a dismal season, which saw Swindon Town relegated to League Two, Head Coach Luke Williams will be leaving his position at the club according to reports.

 

 

Williams was appointed to the role in December 2015 after previous manager Mark Cooper was sacked and Martin Ling's short stay in the hot seat.

 

Tim Sherwood's appointment as Director of Football in November last year was said to have caused confusion in the management structure at Swindon leading to a run of poor performances in 2017, and to todays decision to part company.
