Swindon Town got their League Two campaign off to the best possible start this afternoon as they picked up 3 points away at Carlisle.
Despite naming six debutants in the starting eleven, Dave Flitcroft's side made an assured start, with Town dominating much of the early possession.
They made that possession count on the 31st minute, Luke Norris heading home from a Chris Hussey freekick, albeit picking up a nasty looking injury in the process.
Paul Mullin doubled Town's lead shortly after the break, and despite a flurry of second-half pressure from Carlisle, Town held onto 3 hard earned points.
Town manager Dave Flitcroft was delighted with the win: “Togetherness was the biggest thing I would take from today and it is something we have been trying to promote since day one.
"At times we haven’t been together, there are days where it looks disjointed but we’ve had a lot of days where it has looked like we are together as a group and that showed in abundance today."
