Despite taking an early lead through Billy Paynter, Town wasted a hatful of chances throughout the game - Cox and Robson-Kanu the worst culprits - and were left with only a point for their efforts after MK Dons levelled with one of only few opportunities.

Town manager Danny Wilson described the result as 'hugely frustrating'.

 

"We deserved much more than a point and now we're really in a fight," the Town manager said.
