Swindon hung on to claim all three points after Brentford fought back from a superb Town start.

 

Danny Wilson's bold choice of Alex Revell and Ben Hutchinson upfront reaped rewards almost immediately when Town took a 2-0 lead after only twenty minutes.

 

Revell grabbing the first with a well-taken close-range effort before Hutchinson did the same.

 

And when Swindon's defence weathered a brief period of Brentford pressure just after the break, it looked like Town would go on to secure an easy victory.

 

But after Carl Cort sneaked one in for the home side with thirteen minutes to go it set up a tense finale, where Revell responded with his second of the game before Brentford reduced arrears again with a Macdonald header.

 

Town eventually hanging on in injury time with ten men after Scott Cuthbert suffered a hamstring injury.

 

The win extends Swindon's unbeaten run to ten games and lifts them back up to 6th in League One.
