Getting fit with the Link Centre: Week 2
Week 2: we try body balance
After trying Body Attack, a class called Body Balance was next on our list to try.
Apparently it’s a combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates.
Now Liz and I are not known as people that can sit still for longer than 10 minutes – and like school girls in the back of a class the odd bit of giggling is bound to happen.
But after the warm up and a few goes at the various moves we found it can actually leave you relaxed and refreshed.
"It's a great class to improve your flexibility and balance," commented Darren Gunter, instructor at the Link Centre.
"It's a class that anyone of any age can attend."
We wouldn’t say expect an out-of-breath workout from an hour group class.
But, if you attend it regularly, it can help to enhance physical and mental well being.
You will do a lot of stretching, but if you want something different to yoga than Body Balance is definitely the choice for you!
