Bowled over for charity

Goldenhar and Swindon Pathfinders benefit from bowling

A fundraising ten-pin bowling night at Shaw Ridge Leisure Park raised over £1,300 for Godenhar Support Group and Pathfinders.

Organised by Alan Holmes and Sue Holmes, the evening attracted
120 people, 20 teams, who played to win the Trophy which was donated by Don Rogers Sports.

Three and half year old Morgan Sharpe, was diagnosed with Goldenhar Syndrome, a term used for a range of bone abnormalities affecting the face and sometimes the vertebrae, as a baby.

Morgan has a missing ear, a missing eye, a tracheotomy, and fluid in the ventricles of his brain.

His grandfather Alan Holmes now organises charity events for the Goldenhar Family Support Group and was delighted with the bowling evening

The winning team was Manor Hill Ceramics with 1266 points.
