Pilot breaks leg after aborted take-off

 

This was the scene near Redlands Airfield in Wanborough on Sunday after a light aircraft crashed injuring the pilot.

Geoffrey Kent was airlifted to GWH with a broken leg just after 10.30am after he aborted a take-off carrying eight free-fall parachutists. The plane eventually crash-landed in an adjacent field.

 

None of the passengers were injured. The incident is now being investigated by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
