Open to Everyone 

New Highworth Community Centre officially opens

 

An open day marked the first official event at the new Highworth Community Centre.

 

Formerly Northview Primary School, the centre now offers facilities including its main hall, meeting rooms, a modern kitchen and large playing fields.  

 

The local amateur dramatics society and historical society as well as a number of local charities have already made their base there. Highworth Police will also be using it as an official outpost.

Highworth mayor Maureen Penny, Swindon mayor Ray Ballman and North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson invited everyone in to have a look around after cutting a ribbon at the main gate just after 11am.
