Biplob buffet raises funds for Swindon Mela
The Biplob in Old Town have been doing their bit for the Swindon Mela.
Rokib Ali, owner of the Indian Restaurant in Wood Street, invited the Mayor and other guests for a fundraising lunch & evening buffet in aid of the festival, which takes places every August.
The Mela, one of the biggest events of its kind in the UK, needs more than £50,000 every year to safeguard its future.
A fundraising 'Taste of the Mela' event will also be held at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, in Bath Road, on 09 June.
The 11th Swindon Mela takes place this year on 25 August in Town Gardens.
