Fatal Fire in West Swindon 

Women dies after blaze in Abbey Meads flat

 

An investigation is under way after a woman died in a fatal fire in West Swindon.

 

Firefighters attended the blaze in a flat in Hayward Close in the early hours of today but couldn't save a 32-year-old woman, who died at the scene.

 

Another man was rescued and transferred to hospital in Bristol, where he is described as critical, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.
