New commemorative bell for historical Highworth church

 

There'll be a different sound when they peal the bells in Highworth next year.

 

St. Michael's & All Angels church took delivery of a brand-new ringer weighing nearly a tonne this week prior to it being installed next month.

 

The bell is in commemoration of Nicholas Weaver who was the Tower Captain of the 13th century church from 1989 to 2004, and who sadly died in 2005.

 

The bell is currently on display in the church.
