Swindon restaurant scoops top award in 50th year
The Khyber restaurant in Swindon are still celebrating after winning a prestigious national award.
In this, their 50th year, owner Sadik Ali and his staff & friends attended a black tie do in London to receive the BCA 'Caterer of the Year' award for the South West.
Over 1,200 attended the ceremony including Eastenders actress and star of Goodness Gracious Me Nina Wadia, who congratulated everyone at The Khyber for their achievement.

"To come up against so many top restaurants and win really has made our year," Sadik said.
"There's so very few second-generation restaurants that are still going strong after 50 years, so to be recognised for that makes it even more special."
The Khyber became Wiltshire's first Indian restaurant in 1962 and is still run by the same family today.
