Wi-Fi On The Go!

Thamesdown Transport launch free Wi-Fi for passengers in association with Swindon Travel Choices

Have you ever been sat on the bus, desperate to get that one important email or finish a presentation before you get to work? Or maybe you just want to catch up with what's happening socially?

Well with Thamesdown Transport, now you can!

Yesterday (01 May) they launched free Wi-Fi for passengers on a number of their buses, in association with the Swindon Travel Choices.

A number of buses on Services 15 & 15A, which run between the town centre, Haydon End, Taw Hill, Oakhurst, Redhouse and Haydon Wick, have been fitted with wireless internet routers that passengers can connect their smart phones, tablets and laptops to in order to access the internet on the go.

It's easy to connect - there's no sign up process or password needed to access the internet - as long as the box on screen has been ticked to agree to the terms and conditions of use, you're off!

Thamesdown's managing director, Paul Jenkins, says, "We're always looking at ways to make travelling by bus attractive for people in Swindon and by offering free Wi-Fi passengers can entertain themselves, catch up with their friends or read their emails on the go."

Buses equipped with Wi-Fi will display a sign letting passengers know it is available and leaflets on the buses will explain how to connect.
