Swindon superstar Jahmene Douglas is on cloud nine this morning after his debut album went straight to number one in the Official UK Abums Chart.

 

The finalist from last year's The X Factor outsold everyone else with Love Never Fails, a compilation of soul and gospel cover versions.

It wasn't all that long ago that the quiet, humble Jahmene Douglas could be found stocking the shelves of Asda in Swindon.

But his life took a dramatic turn for the better as he went on to finish second in last year's X-Factor, guided by none other than superstar Nicole Scherzinger.

Since then he's gone from strength to strength, and today (22 July) he released his first album, titled "Love Never Fails".

We spoke to Jahmene as he headed back to Swindon to tell his fans about the new release...
