Swindon Elections 2014: Tories increase majority

The big Swindon election:
22 May 2014
In a surprise election result, Swindon Council remains under Conservative control after the Tories INCREASED their majority.

On a dramatic night at the official count at the Oasis, UKIP proved very strong in certain wards but failed to win any overall seats.

The Conservatives crucially took back the Covingham & Dorcan seat from Labour to give them an overall majority of three on Swindon Council.

SwindonWebTV beamed the results, and more than 2 hours of live broadcasting throughout the evening. See the 'on demand' recorded broadcasts below.

Swindon Elections 2014
It's your choice!

That's why prior to the election, SWTV asked each local party why they think you should vote for them - in just 60 seconds!

That's right, just when everyone is saying they have no time for politics, we found five willing councillors brave enough to state their party's cause with zero waffle, impossible as that may seem!

Just simply a straight-talking minute on camera, with no editing.
