Proud Day For Rotary In Swindon
Local community youth work showcased to GB & Ireland President
It was a case of King at The Kings today as the Rotary Club of Swindon proudly hosted their GB & Ireland President for an honourary lunch.
The club meet every Thursday at the Old Town hotel to network and plan local charity fundraising events, and invited the most senior member of Rotary in Great Britain, Peter King, as a special guest.
Mr King, who travelled from London for the event, was greeted by local members from Rotary clubs across Swindon and the area before being shown a new initiative, BIOS, that's connecting with young people in Swindon.
"BIOS is clearly committed to positively changing lives here," Mr King commented. "I'm very impressed."
The President even had a go on the on-board gaming consoles and iPads while a Mobile Youth Club partly funded Rotary was demonstrated.
