Farewell to Jaws

ARCHIVE: Pictures from Bond star Richard Kiel's visits to Swindon

Richard Kiel
1939-2014
The world has a little less bite today with the sad news of the death of popular James Bond actor Richard Kiel.

The iconic American star, who appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker has passed away at the age of 74.

SwindonWeb was delighted to meet him on two occasions when he visited Swindon 10 years ago.

Our picture archive below shows him on his second appearance at the Infinitely Better memorabilia store in the Brunel Centre in 2004, when fans queued around the corner to meet him and grab an autograph.

While here Richard, accompanied by 007 co-star Blanche Ravalec, also kindly opened the Swindon Film Festival with a special 25th Anniversary screening of Moonraker which included a Q&A with the pair at Cineworld (now Empire).
